Oak Ridge offers quality health care through Methodist Medical Center (MMC) of Oak Ridge.  MMC is a 301-bed regional medical facility serving Anderson and four adjacent counties with more than 175 physicians representing 30 medical and surgical specialties.

Oak Ridge has 16 beautiful parks throughout the city including the new PetSafe Big Turtle Dog Park,  Oak Ridge has a variety of specialty parks including two golf courses, Disc Golf Courses, trails for walking, running, bicycling, horseback riding, and a World Renown Rowing Center.  Oak Ridge also has an indoor pool facility as well as the largest spring-fed outdoor pool in the nation.

Award Winning Oak Ridge City Schools are comprised of preschool, four elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school as well as a parochial school covering grades one through eight.  The Oak Ridge Public Library features a separate children's library and the adjoining Civic Center hosts activities and sporting events throughout the year.  Roane State Community College with over 100,000 square feet serves more than 2,000 students and provides opportunity for transfer career education, continuing education and development education.
